Terms of Use

Registration and Payment Workshop registration or booking fees must be paid in full at the time of booking your workshop. An order confirmation will be automatically sent out which will confirm your booking.

Event Prices The event costs quoted are per person, or as advised in the booking notification. The event prices are quoted in Australian dollars (AUD).

Cancellation and Refund Policy Full refunds of all monies paid will be made if a workshop is cancelled by us, or if the workshop is re-scheduled and you are unable to attend the new date. Cancellation by participants must be made in writing. At the time we receive your cancellation, the following penalties will apply:

• More than 21 days prior to the workshop a full refund will be given
• Between 14-21 days prior to the workshop a 75% refund will be given
• Between 7-14  days prior to the workshop a 50% refund will be given
• Between 0-7 Days prior to the workshop you will forfeit 100% of the booking

Luke Humble, is not responsible for any other costs which workshop participants may have incurred including but not limited to travel, car rental, insurance, photographic purchases and/or rentals.

Postponement Policy If you have booked and paid for a workshop and are unable to attend on the workshop date, and if another similar workshop is offered, you can choose to transfer your booking to the next workshop. An administration fee of $35.50 per booking will be incurred, payable at time of your request to transfer your booking. At any time your workshop maybe moved into the virtual class room. An email will be sent out explaining the process and requirements. These virtual classroom workshops will have the same curriculum and will be run around the same date as the originally scheduled workshop. If you are unable to join the virtual classroom a recorded session will be available for you to watch.

Transfer Unless otherwise authorised in writing by Luke Humble, attendees have the right to transfer their rights and obligations under these Terms and Conditions. The booking payment paid shall not be refundable except as permitted by these Terms and Conditions and Luke Humble will not be liable to make any refund to the attendee if the attendee fails to arrive for the event.

 

Please note that bookings cannot be transferred within two weeks of the workshop date.

Workshop Schedule and Agenda All workshop schedules and plans are subject to change at our discretion depending upon weather, health and safety considerations, or any other factor related or unrelated to photographic opportunities as we see fit.

Meals & Dietary Requirements If the workshop includes meals, attendees are asked to notify Luke Humble regarding any special dietary requirements when making the booking or within two weeks prior to the workshop.

Personal Property All baggage brought on any event run by Luke Humble by an attendee must remain in the possession and control of the attendee during the event. Any baggage should be appropriately marked with the name and address of the attendee. The attendee must not bring on the event in baggage or otherwise any dangerous or inflammable substance, including any prohibited or non-prescribed drug. Luke Humble is not responsible for any jewellery, money, documents and any other valuables that attendees keep on their person, in their rooms or in their baggage and Luke Humble strongly recommends that participants obtain adequate insurance to cover any loss or damage in this respect.

Advertising and Promotion The attendee agrees to let Luke Humble use images and video taken whilst on the event to be used in any form of advertising and promotion without any remuneration to the attendee, unless previous arrangements have been agreed to in writing.

Limit of Liability Luke Humble accepts no liability for death, illness or injury or loss or damage to equipment or personal belongings during the course of the workshop or in transit thereto. We can accept no responsibility for losses or additional expenses due to delay or changes in the services to be provided. We reserve the right to change our arrangements should conditions necessitate, or to cancel any aspect of the workshop due to exceptional circumstances. In the event that we deem it necessary to cancel the workshop we will provide a full refund, which the participants acknowledge as full and final settlement. In the event of a workshop cancellation by Luke Humble, liability of Luke Humble to participants shall be limited to the total value of the workshop. Neither party shall be liable for indirect or consequential loss. Luke Humble will not be liable to attendees for any injuries or damage which may occur whilst the attendee is participating in workshop. By utilising these facilities attendees agree to assume all risks associated with those activities and fully release and discharge Luke Humble from any and all claims, demands, damages, causes of action, present or future, resulting from or arising out of the attendees use of or participation in those activities. By agreeing to this, Luke Humble will be entitled to refuse to allow the attendee to participate in those activities if the attendee decides not agree. By joining any workshops offered by Luke Humble, participants acknowledge that they are aware of risks and are physically capable of safely taking part in the workshop. Further, they release Luke Humble, lukehumble.com, Italic Creative, guest presenters and workshop assistants from any liability. Luke Humble, lukehumble.com, Italic Creative, guest presenters and workshop assistants will assume no liability for injury, illness or loss of personal property or expenses associated with participation in a workshop.

Applicable Law Should any provision for these event Terms and Conditions be contrary to or invalid by the laws of the state of Queensland, or the Commonwealth of Australia or for any other reason the relevant provision will be deemed to be severed from these event Terms and Conditions and shall be of no effect but all remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. These event Terms and Conditions shall be governed in all respects by the laws of Queensland and the attendee agrees that any claims or disputes between the attendee and Luke Humble in connection with these event Terms and Conditions shall be commenced, filed and litigated before a Court of proper jurisdiction in Queensland and if possible in the city of Maroochydore.

Your Agreement to this Contract In reserving a place on the workshop by paying the workshop fee, you are agreeing to accept all the above conditions. The person who makes the booking does so on behalf of all the individuals included, and all are bound by the booking conditions.
